ESG in Putnam operations
We work to be a leader in implementing ESG best practices in our corporate policies and in upholding them in our daily business operations. We aim to earn the respect of our employees, business partners, and customers.
Diversity continues to be an area of critical focus for our organization. Relevant statistics and initiatives include:
44%
of Putnam associates identify as women*
20%
of Putnam associates identify as racially or ethnically diverse*
We believe that diverse teams work more effectively, better meet client needs, and collaborate in differentiated, innovative ways. Putnam continues to commit leadership and resources toward building a diverse workforce.
For more than 20 years, we have actively engaged in diversity and inclusion initiatives across the firm. Our team has included a Head of Diversity & Inclusion since 2008. In 2020, this role was elevated to report directly to the CEO.
One key responsibility of the office is to lead our Diversity Advisory Council and to champion Business Impact Groups. These circles of support focus on education and awareness, development, and retention, and help us build stronger relationships with one another. Our Business Impact Groups include Putnam Black Professional Network, Putnam Caregiver Connection, Putnam Multicultural Group, Putnam Pride Alliance, and Women of Putnam.
Benefits program
We have a decades-long tradition of supporting the well-being of our associates through a generous benefits program, one that evolves with emerging needs.
